More Poop...

Another poop story. Yay!

Sunday marked another milestone in our house (even though it happened in the church nursery). Mark looked at Blake and said "poop" and then immediately pooped in his diaper. We were so excited that you would have thought he actually pooped in the potty! Awareness is the first step!

Yesterday, I saw him with his "poop" face on and asked him if he needed to go. He told me yes but as he was busy playing with his cars also told me he did not want to go to the potty.

Later in the evening after bath, he ran into his sister's room as I went to get a diaper. I saw him squatting and knew exactly what he was doing! He was in the poop position - and there it was (thankfully on a blanket and not the rug) - poop! So, we took it to the potty and waved it bye bye and then washed our hands. He seems unsure about the poop part - but LOVES to wash his hands afterwards?!

I can't help but be excited by this progress!

Bumbo or Potty?

This post is about poop.

Because that's what you think about and talk about when you have little kids. Who's pooped when. Is someone going to poop so much that it goes all the way up their back? Do you have a change of clothes in case someone poops themselves?! I could always talk about poop, but people that think it's inappropriate to talk about burping and farting and pooping - still manage to talk about baby poop! I love it.

This brings us to the bumbo. My dad was saying that it looks like a toilet (otherwise known as a potty). Price exploded through not 1 but 2 diapers while sitting in her bumbo last weekend. And she did the same thing yesterday! Instead of being annoyed or grossed out - I chose to take this as a sign that she's really advanced and just might be ready for potty training! I was also very thankful to have bleach in the house!

High Maintenance

Here it is...almost the end of day 1 on my official journey as a stay-at-home mom. I made it...almost.

What I think is going to be a constant challenge - is the high maintenance dog. Those that know Bentley know he is a LOT more work than the kids. Guess I will have to add him to the schedule and make sure he gets naps at regular times as well. His personality that makes him high maintenance I think also makes him extra lovable (yep...this is what I tell myself).

Looking forward to the day when everyone in the house sleeps at the same time - or the day I come to the realization that it might not happen.

So...1 day down and LOTS more to go. Here's hoping everyone can stay healthy for a week. 6 more days to go to reach that goal!
